What is Al Zorah?
Al Zorah is the Al Zorah Development Company’s flagship project. Tell me more about Al Zorah’s five neighborhoods.
The Gates is the entrance to Al Zorah from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, where the highway transforms into a landscaped boulevard with retail amenities. The Shores will accommodate high-end resorts and serviced residences, a beach club and boardwalk, beachfront residential serviced apartments and villas. The Avenues, connected by a pedestrian retail and leisure spine, comprises an entertainment complex, a marina, Al Zorah souks and a retail center. The Coves is a residential and hotel quarter planned as a calm high-end neighborhood with direct access to the waterfront promenade and magnificent views of the creek and mangroves. The Fairways is set within coastal dunes and the mangrove wetlands. It also boasts a club house, wellness center, and upscale residential villas and apartments.

Who are the developers behind Al Zorah?
Al Zorah has been masterfully crafted and planned by the Al Zorah Development Company, a partnership between Solidere International and the Government of Ajman.
Solidere International is a city maker, place maker, and developer, focused on creating urban destinations and mixed-use real estate developments in the Middle East and emerging markets internationally. Solidere International was incorporated in Dubai in 2007 by the Beirut-based Solidere, the company’s founding member and investor.
What is included in Phase 1 of the development?
The first phase of the project includes finalizing the infrastructure works, roads, tourist attractions, residential units, and a fully functional marina. It will also include two beachfront hotels and resorts; a golf course by Nicklaus Design; a club house; and one of the four planned marinas. 42 golf villas are included in this phase. Following this, Al Zorah announced The Golf Estates, a gated community with a combination of villas, townhouses and apartments set on the 18-hole Nicklaus Design Golf Course within The Fairways district, while also unveiling the Al Zorah Beach Residences comprised of chalet-style villas and apartments in The Shores district, in what will be the country’s first residential property on the beach next to a golf course.

What is already complete at Al Zorah?
Phase One of the project is already underway. All infrastructure works are completed. One marina is ready for operations, while three others have been constructed. Al Zorah’s sales centre, The Pavilion, is operational, and the construction of two world-class beachfront hotels and resorts are underway, to be completed in early 2016. An 18-hole golf course opened in December 2015, the golf villas are under construction and will be ready by the end of 2016.
When will the development be complete?
Phase 1 will be ready by 2018.
Which residential projects have been launched?
42 golf villas, surrounding the golf course designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus’ company, Nicklaus Design, were launched in phase 1 of the development. Subsequently, the company announced 800 units in the Golf Estates and 134 in Al Zorah Beach Residences, both brand new communities that will make ‘natural living’ by the golf course and the beach, even more possible.

Tell me more about the world-class golf course.
Al Zorah’s 18-hole golf course, by Nicklaus Design, is located within a naturally preserved environment of native sandy areas and mangroves. The par-72, 18-hole landscaped green has extensive practice facilities and is crafted with generous fairways and wide corridors around two large lakes that enrich the challenge of the course and enhance its variety and playability. Switzerland-based Troon Golf, the world’s leading high-end golf development company, will operate and manage the project. The Club House will feature a state-of-the-art gym, restaurant with beautiful views over the course, swimming pool, children’s pool, coffee shop, multipurpose conference room and youth club.
